Description: |
Today from 20:55 Athens time we are experiencing problems with our traffic towards many paths outside of Greece and Forthnet. Issue is being caused by a major network malfunction on Lamda Hellix Data Centers network.
No servers have been impared or infrastructure. The issue is only network based.
We will update you soon.

Connectivity has been restored. We are waiting for the incident report from the data center on why multiple paths were down at the same time.
Note that connectivity was not completely lost. But during the incident portions of the global connectivity was impaired. |

We have received further update from our Data Center which is our aggregator for most of our global IP transit.
A major inbound DDoS attack was targeting the Data Center, although this is not a problem as there are special protections against such attacks, the netflow protocol made the IOS-XR operating system on the Cisco router constantly reboot, both primary and secondary router.
Scrubbing protection was activated and other steps were taken to immediately overcome the problem.
The event is being investigated by the hardware vendor , Cisco. |
